It comes packaged with a little poem that explains how the worm helps take your child's worries and fears away. There is no age limit when we need comforting (my daughter took the XL to the dorm, then asked for one for her roommate)
The XL measures primarily 7.5" long and 1.75" wide (please keep in mind these are all handmade and from different types of yarns, some are a tad smaller and some a tad larger depending on the yarn).
