Nestle your seeds or clippings in netted soil pods and start them off safely indoors. Your netted seed starters keep all the peat in one piece, making it a snap to transplant them when the time is right.
Place your peat pellets in a watertight tray. Pour warm water over them until they have expanded to full size. Drain any excess water to avoid rotting.
Plant seeds or clippings in your peat moss pellets, following any instructions that came with your seeds.
When your plants have sprouted, place your seed starter tray outside during the day and bring them inside each night. Start with full shade and gradually increase sun exposure each day to properly harden your plants against the elements.
Pick up your pellets and transfer them to potting soil or your garden. Cover them with soil until the peat is no longer visible. Press the soil down gently to remove any large air pockets. Water your plants and watch them grow!
