    Description

    I am pleased to offer this well preserved tennis racquet (or racket) from the late 19th century. It probably was originally from a two boxed set of lawn tennis racquets.
    1) 24” length
    2) 8” handle
    3) red leather butt plate with salmon colored leather wrap
    4) convex wedge
    5) original, alternating red and white gut strings
    6) teardrop shape with a slight lean to one side
    7) head measures approximately 8” wide by 12” long
    8) ash frame and very light in weight
    Sold and shipped in the United States only by priority mail with insurance and tracking.
