ld early wood wooden racquet with excellent larger version of Ellsworth Vines photodecal and autograph; beautiful wedge design and 8 original graduated thread bands

HEAD
: traditional oval shape; stock is square at the shoulders and very gently rounded as it goes around the top of the head; top rail of the head shows expected wear.
WARPING
: none
FRAME:
excellent condition; retains most of the original finish on the shaft, throat and shoulders;
THROAT WEDGE:
gorgeous wedge design; perhaps inspiration for the later Maxply Fort designs; concave in the style of the period
STRINGS
: original thick animal gut as shown
BANDING
: has the 8 original graduated black and gold bands; no losses; in super condition
DECALS
: as shown; photodecal of Ellsworth is excellent
HANDLE / GRIP:
4 ¾ inches actual size; never had grip material
IMPRINTED STAMPS: none
END CAP
: original leather strip almost fully intact; end cap a rare survivor as shown
