ANTIQUE 1920's / 30's N.J.MAGNAN CORP. 'MASCOT' JUNIOR ' WOOD TENNIS RACQUET

This is one of those scarce Antique Junior Wood Tennis Racquets that is still in existence from the 1920's / 1930's. Not many of these around in this excellent condition.  With no Leather grip & just a bare wood handle dates this racquet mid-1920's - early 1930's... ( a
n important indicator in age, the Leather Grip was introduced in 1934 ). Made by THE MAGNAN CORP. NORTH ATTLEBORO. MASS. U.S.A
Features:
The head of the racquet is a beautiful oval shape with the frame with normal use marks & a couple of gauged out pieces just above the grip handle...Throat piece has a couple of chips at each side also... No warpage.
The 4 bandings  are intact, with some missing strands, plus evidence of a former blue strip between the bandings.
The mascot logo is excellent, & the ' Magnan' Logo has blemishes.
The thick dark Gut Strings are in superb shape, three rows of trim at the top (- 'tripling' ) & two rows at the bottom.
The 8" Long Wood Grip is in Excellent Condition, with clear striations for ease of grippage...the Leather Butt Cap is in great shape also.

IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND SUCH A TRULY MAGNIFICENT RACQUET OF THIS AGE & ERA IN SUCH MINT-LIKE CONDITION!
