15” EFFANBEE VINYL “CHRISTINA” BY DESIGNER JAN HAGARA, BRUNETTE 1983

Description

Jan Hagara is a noted doll artist – she is the designer of “Christina” for the Effanbee Doll Co. and was produced in limited edition in 1983.  The doll is made entirely of vinyl, is fully jointed with rooted brunette hair and painted facial features.  She is dressed in ivory (the tag says beige lawn) dress with lace trim and matching bonnet and pantalettes.  There is pale blue underskirt, ivory knee length stockings and low-cut brown boots with snap closure.  The elastic in sleeves, cuffs and waist has died and new owner might care to replace (or not).  She wears wide Williamsburg blue sash.  The doll has never been undressed or payed with – she was obtained from the estate of the original owner, an adult collector.  There is original wrist hangtag but no paperwork or box.
